Silent Auction: Saturday, March 2 from 12:00 to 3:00 pm.
Auction donations wanted
Among highlights of the annual NBA Banquet are the live and silent auctions. Every year, it continues to grow in size and quality, thanks in part to the generosity of our members, businesses and bow-hunting companies that donate items to us.
The annual auctions continue to be our largest fundraiser of the year. Money generated by these auctions help fund the many projects the NBA is involved in throughout the year, and help keep the organization strong and prosperous. The biggest and most amazing part is without the generosity of our membership our auction would be very limited.
So again, your NBA is requesting donations for these two auctions. Items donated do not need to be bowhunting-related and any items will be greatly appreciated. Three years ago, the highest winning bid was for a star-spangled red, white and blue guitar autographed by Ted Nugent and donated by Kevin Markt. This item alone brought in over $1,500. And three years ago, a bear hunt that was partially donated by Jason Lambley brought in $3,000. But the small items add up as well!
This year, I will be accepting donations from 9 to 11 am on Saturday morning outside the auction room. Silent auction items will then be on display for bidding between noon and 3 pm. Winning bidders on this auction are asked to pick up and pay for them at the close of the event at 3 pm. The live auction takes place at the end of the Awards Banquet on Saturday night.
