Road Race: Friday - Calling all runners! We are taking the annual Road Race off road this year via the trail that starts just past the campgrounds. Teen and adult runners will take the trail on a beautiful 2.67 mile run, all the way to the Scott Lookout Tower. Kids will get the same trail experience with a one-mile run, going 1/2 mile down the trail then back to the start. The run will take place on Friday morning and will kick off at 8 am, starting with the kids. Once they finish, the adults and teens will take off to the Look Out Tower. Age Divisions include: 6 & Under (Co-Ed); 7-12 (Co-Ed); 13-25 (Men & Women divisions); 26-45 (Men & Women divisions); 45+ (Men & Women divisions).
Shed Antler Contest: Saturday - Register your Nebraska shed antler find with the merry gang of Pope & Young scorers to see how your antlers measure up. Scoring will take place in the 4-H camp headquarters building. There is a $1 entry fee for each shed entered. Awards will be given to the top three scoring sheds in each category, including White Tail Deer, Mule Deer, Elk, and Pronghorn. All shed antlers will be displayed at the Saturday night barbeque and all entries must be picked up at that time.
Halsey VFD Benefit Breakfast: Join us at this annual Saturday event. This breakfast is hosted at the Halsey Volunteer Fire Hall. Free will donations will be greatly appreciated to help cover breakfast costs and raise funds for fire fighting equipment. So let someone else do the cookin' and cleanin' and support the local Halsey Volunteer Fire Department, all at the same time!
Statewide Meeting: Saturday at 1 pm join us for the Nebraska Bowhunters Association statewide meeting in the 4-H Lodge.
Awards BBQ: Saturday night at 6 pm at the Picnic Shelter.
