Jamboree Accommodation Options

Whether you are going for one night, the weekend, or an entire week, it’s a good idea to start planning early for where you will stay. Many options fill up quickly, but don’t let that deter you from joining in the fun! Call Eric 308-627-2784 or Nate at 308-660-5437 if you have questions. Here are some accommodation options:

Forest Service Campgrounds

The Forest Service campgrounds provide both primitive and electric campsites. The electric campsites tend to fill up quickly. If you plan to bring your camper and these are full, you have a few options and you may want to consider bringing a generator. The Forest Service campground sites at the Bessey Campground Complex, and those located in Natick and Whitetail, may be reserved through recreation.gov or www.reserveamerica.com. There are a few camp sites that are first-come, first-serve in these camp grounds as well.

Nebraska State 4-H Camp

The 4-H Camp also has cabins available for rent, or tent and non-electric trailer/RV campsites. Contact the 4-H camp at 308-533-2224.

Thedford Fairgrounds

The Thedford Fairgrounds have allo-wed the NBA members to use their grounds for overflow camping the weekend of the Jamboree. A free will donation box will be set up there and they ask that each party who uses their grounds donates what they think is fair. There are no electrical hookups, so plan accordingly.

Halsey and Thedford

There are also hotel possibilities in both Halsey and Thedford. Call the respective hotel/motel to reserve. Roadside Inn has agreed to give NBA members a reduced rate for the weekend, so be sure to mention you are with the NBA. The Arrowhead Lodge and the Roadside Inn, both in Thedford also have electrical hookups.

Halsey Frontier Inn, Halsey, 308-533-2240

About us

In 1984, the idea of an organization that would bring bowhunters together with a common goal to preserve and protect bowhunting was formed and the Nebraska Bowhunters Association (NBA) was born. Now, the NBA is one of Nebraska's premier hunting organizations, with a growing membership, family friendly events, and a firm passion to continue to preserve and promote bowhunting in Nebraska.

Become a member

Although bowhunting is often a private, quiet affair, members of the NBA benefit greatly from organizing together. Besides the political clout and united front against those opposed to hunting, the camaraderie is perhaps the best bargain for the money. NBA members meet across the state throughout the year at our Banquet in March and Jamboree in August. We would love to have you join us!
